Golden Cup Visitor Map
Golden Cup is located in Ukiah, California, hidden away in a mountain range. It is two parts:
• A 5 acre permaculture homestead, producing every imaginable variety of stone fruit and herb,
tropical fruits and olives.
• 115 acres of oak, fir, madrone, and redwood forest, scattered with gorgeous cob houses, yurts, domes, and even a tree house connected by trails and a meandering creek.
I participated in a work-exchange there, where I gained skills in forestry, fire abatement, irrigation, carpentry, and much else integral to rural living. As I wrapped up my time there, I worked with the owners to create a walking map for visitors.

From fall to spring, the creek runs straight through the center of the property.

In the summer, the creek runs dry and a different, hardier species of grass takes over, turning the hills yellow.
